3.2.1. Forms of title
The title of an act can take two forms: full title (containing the type of act, number, name of the author, date of adoption and subject matter) or short title (containing the type of act, number and, when first cited, name of the author).
3.2.2. Referring to other acts
The reference to another act varies according to the place of the citation – whether it is made in a title, in citations or in recitals, articles and annexes.
3.2.3. References to subdivisions of an act
The various parts of a reference to subdivisions of an act are cited in descending order, from the general to the particular.
3.2.4. References to amendments to an act
The acts referred to in the texts in the Official Journal are understood to be the acts in their version in force, therefore footnotes include only the OJ reference of their initial version and do not mention later modifications.
